SHK Accountants Limited is a small, independent accountancy firm based in Newcastle-under-Lyme. Our roots go back to the late 1980s, and the firm was officially founded in 1999 by Stephen Kendrew. We first started out in Leek and Stoke-on-Trent – a city well-known for its pottery heritage, with famous names like Wedgwood and Royal Doulton, and as the hometown of singer Robbie Williams.
Today, the firm is led by our director, Mr Matthew Nixon. Matthew has over 17 years of experience in accountancy, starting his career at just 18 years old. He completed his AAT qualification in 2011 and went on to become a Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW. Since becoming the face of SHK Accountants at the age of 32, Matthew has brought a modern approach to the firm, using up-to-date software while still holding onto strong values and great communication.
